As you may have found, one magnet on top of another is unstable.
The Levitron device overcomes the instability by a
spinning-top type of mechanism.
Other systems 'cradle' a bar magnet by 'cupping' each end
within opposing poles to keep the bar magnet stable.
This can be done with either permanent or electromagnets.
None of these systems are really useable as aerospace antigravity propulsion
systems, because the opposing magnetic poles are only
practical for a few inches.
However, that's one of the great things about the antigravity
propulsion field - It's wide-open to ideas and concepts from
any researcher - including you or me!
